Vodo di Cadore, the gateway to the Dolomites
Chalet Ines is situated in a panoramic position between the massifs of Mount Pelmo and Antelao, in the alpine village of Vodo di Cadore, in the splendid setting of the Dolomites, a UNESCO heritage site. We are located approximately 20 minutes by car from Cortina d’Ampezzo, the renowned international ski resort, along state road 51 of Alemagna.
Vodo is located in the middle part of the Boite valley and belongs to the vast territory of Cadore, a unique area renowned for its breathtaking peaks, nature, art, archeology, and tradition. From Vodo, the valleys of Comelico and Zoldo, of great naturalistic interest, can be easily reached.
Unlike other villages in the valley, the centre of Vodo developed away from the main road artery. This has afforded it a main square bordered by the church of Santa Lucia and several historic buildings.
Vodo also boasts several quality local producers that have succeeded in renewing the agro-forestry-pastoral tradition in synergy with local tourism.
Chalet Ines is located approximately hundred meters from the main village square, facing the mountains. Although in close proximity to the Alemagna state road, the Chalet is located in a quiet area far from traffic, along the ancient route of the Strada Regia that you can travel on foot or by bicycle starting from the Chalet.
